New eBook Coming Soon!

Hi again Brothers in Christ,

I'm nearing the completion of my eBook, The New You, a 365 day devotional/inspirational book. Not much left to do before I publish it. Therefore watch this space for more news soon! This eBook will grow you closer to God one day at a time. Here is the cover reveal, which was posted before...

Is Confession Enough?

Hi Brothers in Christ,

Men have this one thing that usually hinders us from opening up to our mistakes - Pride! And this leads to great relationships turning sour or non existent after some time frame. We always think we are right and, even when we are not, we refuse to apologise for any mistakes or errors we make. That hurts those close to you - maybe family, or colleagues, or close friends. Then, when we decide to own up to our mistakes, we confess them. Everyone is now happy again. Life goes on!

What about our mistakes and errors we make before God? There are times we cuss, using foul language without realising it, and it's too late after the words have been uttered from our mouths. Usually we confess them to God; if we are true men and believers, but is that enough? Ezekiel 18:21 says the following: "Suppose wicked people stop sinning and start obeying my laws and doing right. They won't be put death." [CEV bible]. Another translation says, "But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins ... he shall surely live." This is powerful when you really meditate upon this verse.

Confession is necessary, but only that? Sufficiency is achieved only when we confess our wrongs and this is connected with true repentance. Without repentance there is no meaning to your confessions. Bu confessing we are making our sins known; to God, to our spouses, to our colleagues, family or friends. Repentance in the other hand involves turning away from those wrongs/sins. We must not only confess but we must repent too. Repentance leads us to not do them again. True repentance will allow God to guide us into a new path and journey, away from sin and wrong-doing.

By following this way, we men willingly become renewed, new men and new followers again. We become real loyal followers of Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect! I do make mistakes, say wrong things, act wrongly; displease God at stages in my life. Why? I allow the world attractions to get to me, maybe through my business, maybe with those men I mingle with. No! That's not how we as Christian followers should live. We must shine God's light in this dark world.

Yes, confession requires guts but repentance requires a soft willing heart, humble before God and men alike. What do we do about this? If you need to confess about something today, also rerpent for it out. Enjoy the "new you" journey ahead. Be blessed!

God's Special Treasure

Greetings brothers and all other followers...

It has been a while but many other priorities took over my life once again, which should not happen and allow me to fall behind with great articles or messages for you here on this blog. Away with the small excuses and let me get down to what is important.

All of us, at least most of us, have some kind of special treasure we love. It could be your spouse, your children, or maybe some earthly possession which sticks deep in your heart. - like the new Ferrari sitting under covers in the garage. Yes, we all treasure something, but for most Christians, and it should be all of us in this world, it isn't Christ Jesus, which it should be. We call ourselves His children but how much do we treasure Him really? But it is totally different with God. The day you accepted Jesus into your life as Saviour and Lord, God has treasured you deep in His own heart. Let's read a verse quickly.

In Exodus 19:5 we read the following, "... you will be my own special treasure ..." And how true is this? Very true because whatever God says is always true. He speaks from His heart and full of love for us. You are very valuable to Him. You are very precious to Him. He places you above everything else He has created, even holds you with higher esteem than His angels. You are His treasure and you will never be removed or plucked from His hands. He will never let you go even when you let Him go. We belong to Him forever!

Therefore, seek Him in every possible way and make Him your treasure as well. Love Him, obey Him, live for Him, and allow Him to lead you into a brighter future; spiritually speaking that is. The life on earth is never an easy and smooth ride. His leading makes it easier and always smooth. Go now and seek Him as your treasure which is always glued into the depths of your heart and life. Amen !!

Faith And God's Power

Greetings once again Brothers, and all those who follow/read this blog and posts.

Life is a journey and the world loves to attract our attention as men, and women for that matter. Men, unfortunately get attracted from reality because of the worldly things taking place around them. Men just love to follow others, believe in others, and stand strong on their own. This is pride and at the same time failure. Ouch! What am I speaking about? Let's find out more...

Faith is either worldly or from God. We have either faith in men or faith in God. What others tell us, or show us, or what we are taught may be where our faith lies. Faith could be worldly totally. Having faith in your car, your wealth, your health, or faith in that greater speaker at that seminar you attended. How deep and how far will that faith take you?

In the Bible one gets a clear answer for this. Reading 1 Corinthians 2:5 one realises where our faith should be anchored. Faith in worldly ways gets you no where. Here is the verse; "Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." There you have it! Our faith should be linked to God's power, and this is His wisdom which is above worldly wisdom. Having faith in the world and man can lead to nothing.

Having faith in God leads you on the right path. His wisdom passed on to you as a blessing becomes His power working through you, and this kind of faith cannot be bent, broken, or leads to nothing. God's wisdom and faith in Him leads only to greatness. Be blessed and you decide which faith you want. I love the faith in God...
