Strangest Commands

Greetings brothers, and sisters who follow my blog.

I trust your life is on the righteous path and pleasing to God. Today I'm speaking about things that are strange, even far fetched, but could happen. Imagine you arrive at the office or wherever, then you are told to do something which does not link to reality - it seems plain strange and awkward, and not befitting the time and place. What do you do? What do you say? I will definitely query the command from whomever it came from. I'll insist that it is way out of this world and cannot be done, or what will it be for or is it worth it.

Imagine you are told to build a shed next to your office. You ask "what for?" There is no purpose for this. Your manager or employer insists. maybe your wife asks you to build it near your office business premises. Again, "what for?" In the end you just do it, never minding the outcome. Then a few days/weeks later something happens and you suddenly realise it was all worth it; there was a purpose for it to be build. And here comes our loving God. He tells you to build something or to make something, but you are confused. Why? This has no meaning or purpose right here and now. You don't see anything coming from this. Instead of querying or questioning God, you just obey and do it.

Let's read 2 Kings 3:16. It goes like this - "Thus says the Lord, 'Make this valley full of trenches.'" And your reaction. What for Lord? This makes no sense. Still, because you are an obedient follower of our loving God, you obey and just do it. Then some time into the future you understand why He commanded you to do that specific task. A miracle! Then you see how God has been setting you up for a miracle or new chapter in your life. Now you see the bigger picture. Now you understand why He asked you to do just that.

Let's just obey His instructions, even when we don't understand it, and see what he is doing and planning for our lives. God knows exactly what He is doing. He is God! And we are not... Enjoy the journey and obey Him in every day things, especially when He "speaks" to you for something specific. Be blessed!
