New eBook Coming Soon!

Hi again Brothers in Christ,

I'm nearing the completion of my eBook, The New You, a 365 day devotional/inspirational book. Not much left to do before I publish it. Therefore watch this space for more news soon! This eBook will grow you closer to God one day at a time. Here is the cover reveal, which was posted before...

Is Confession Enough?

Hi Brothers in Christ,

Men have this one thing that usually hinders us from opening up to our mistakes - Pride! And this leads to great relationships turning sour or non existent after some time frame. We always think we are right and, even when we are not, we refuse to apologise for any mistakes or errors we make. That hurts those close to you - maybe family, or colleagues, or close friends. Then, when we decide to own up to our mistakes, we confess them. Everyone is now happy again. Life goes on!

What about our mistakes and errors we make before God? There are times we cuss, using foul language without realising it, and it's too late after the words have been uttered from our mouths. Usually we confess them to God; if we are true men and believers, but is that enough? Ezekiel 18:21 says the following: "Suppose wicked people stop sinning and start obeying my laws and doing right. They won't be put death." [CEV bible]. Another translation says, "But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins ... he shall surely live." This is powerful when you really meditate upon this verse.

Confession is necessary, but only that? Sufficiency is achieved only when we confess our wrongs and this is connected with true repentance. Without repentance there is no meaning to your confessions. Bu confessing we are making our sins known; to God, to our spouses, to our colleagues, family or friends. Repentance in the other hand involves turning away from those wrongs/sins. We must not only confess but we must repent too. Repentance leads us to not do them again. True repentance will allow God to guide us into a new path and journey, away from sin and wrong-doing.

By following this way, we men willingly become renewed, new men and new followers again. We become real loyal followers of Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect! I do make mistakes, say wrong things, act wrongly; displease God at stages in my life. Why? I allow the world attractions to get to me, maybe through my business, maybe with those men I mingle with. No! That's not how we as Christian followers should live. We must shine God's light in this dark world.

Yes, confession requires guts but repentance requires a soft willing heart, humble before God and men alike. What do we do about this? If you need to confess about something today, also rerpent for it out. Enjoy the "new you" journey ahead. Be blessed!

God's Special Treasure

Greetings brothers and all other followers...

It has been a while but many other priorities took over my life once again, which should not happen and allow me to fall behind with great articles or messages for you here on this blog. Away with the small excuses and let me get down to what is important.

All of us, at least most of us, have some kind of special treasure we love. It could be your spouse, your children, or maybe some earthly possession which sticks deep in your heart. - like the new Ferrari sitting under covers in the garage. Yes, we all treasure something, but for most Christians, and it should be all of us in this world, it isn't Christ Jesus, which it should be. We call ourselves His children but how much do we treasure Him really? But it is totally different with God. The day you accepted Jesus into your life as Saviour and Lord, God has treasured you deep in His own heart. Let's read a verse quickly.

In Exodus 19:5 we read the following, "... you will be my own special treasure ..." And how true is this? Very true because whatever God says is always true. He speaks from His heart and full of love for us. You are very valuable to Him. You are very precious to Him. He places you above everything else He has created, even holds you with higher esteem than His angels. You are His treasure and you will never be removed or plucked from His hands. He will never let you go even when you let Him go. We belong to Him forever!

Therefore, seek Him in every possible way and make Him your treasure as well. Love Him, obey Him, live for Him, and allow Him to lead you into a brighter future; spiritually speaking that is. The life on earth is never an easy and smooth ride. His leading makes it easier and always smooth. Go now and seek Him as your treasure which is always glued into the depths of your heart and life. Amen !!

Faith And God's Power

Greetings once again Brothers, and all those who follow/read this blog and posts.

Life is a journey and the world loves to attract our attention as men, and women for that matter. Men, unfortunately get attracted from reality because of the worldly things taking place around them. Men just love to follow others, believe in others, and stand strong on their own. This is pride and at the same time failure. Ouch! What am I speaking about? Let's find out more...

Faith is either worldly or from God. We have either faith in men or faith in God. What others tell us, or show us, or what we are taught may be where our faith lies. Faith could be worldly totally. Having faith in your car, your wealth, your health, or faith in that greater speaker at that seminar you attended. How deep and how far will that faith take you?

In the Bible one gets a clear answer for this. Reading 1 Corinthians 2:5 one realises where our faith should be anchored. Faith in worldly ways gets you no where. Here is the verse; "Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." There you have it! Our faith should be linked to God's power, and this is His wisdom which is above worldly wisdom. Having faith in the world and man can lead to nothing.

Having faith in God leads you on the right path. His wisdom passed on to you as a blessing becomes His power working through you, and this kind of faith cannot be bent, broken, or leads to nothing. God's wisdom and faith in Him leads only to greatness. Be blessed and you decide which faith you want. I love the faith in God...

Spread The Gospel

Greetings Brothers, and all who follow/read this blog...

I need to apologize as my business and other commitments have kept me away from my laptop and kept me away from writing posts for this blog, plus other things I needed to post on my FB pages likewise. That's just life and reality when it kicks in. But, here we go again...

God has commanded us to spread the Gospel of Jesus wherever we go, wherever we are, but do we ever do it? No! Most times busyness takes charge of our lives and nothing happens. In Mark 16:15 we are told to spread the Gospel. It's not an option. At our workplace we may have options in the way we work or do things. Yes, God offers us options too but they are between choices of obeying His commands and teachings or not.

Which one do you choose? I decided that it's time to keep His commands and teachings above all else as this will lead me into a place where He is pleased with my life, and it helps me grow that relationship with Him as well. Why don't you try it out. It will please God always...

Remember The Invitation

Greetings Brothers, and all those following this blog,

I trust all are well and life is treating you well. How many times have you been invited to some function, maybe a seminar, or even to attend a school reunion, and a day after it has passed, you remember but too late? It's done and dusted! You forgot about it because of your busy life, or maybe you never checked your diary that day or two before the specific event. That was a big mistake! Now regret you missed out and never caught up with folks you would've loved to have met and chatted with.

What about God? Let's first read a verse or two before we move on. It is found in John 14:16-17, and it goes like this ... "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever..." Jesus was speaking here and He was speaking about a promise that the Holy Spirit would be with us after He ascended up into heaven. God the Holy Spirit is with us today as He was with them all after Jesus departed earth. He is our Helper, our Guide, our Protector, our Healer, and everything else God is to us.

Therefore, whenever you are in a brotherly Christian gathering, or maybe attending some meeting related to your faith, maybe a church meeting, remember the invitation - to invite your Helper to be amongst you during that time. Even at your workplace, or in the office or field, remember the invitation. make sure the Holy Spirit is with you, leading you on every minute of that day. Without Him chaos may ensue and what will that bring you? Nothing that is called a blessing. Right now, remember that invite before you make your next move or take your next step. Be blessed !!

When God Speaks

Greetings Brothers, and all who follow and read this Blog,

Life is truly a wonderful journey. Yes, we do have to go through storms and at other times we enjoy the beautiful sunshine and clear skies. That's life for you! Today I'm bringing you closer to God and how mighty He is. may this post change the way you think and react.

Are you in a management position at your work? Are you the owner of your own business? Maybe you are in a supervisory position, having some employees under your "command" and will. When you speak, do things happen? Do things happen even when they seem impossible? Can you command folks to follow your orders, obey you and believe in you, even when it sounds impossible, maybe a task to far out of normal arm's reach? Therefore, I would say this does not always happen.

What about God, when He speaks? Let's look at Isaiah 55:11, which states, "So also will be the word that I speak - it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do." Wow! How beautiful and powerful is that! When God speaks He says clearly that whatever He says will happen. Who else as such power through words? Who else can speak and things WILL happen? I doubt we will see the impossible remain as such. The impossible is always possible because when God speaks it will take place.

His words go out to accomplish His purpose. God speaks! This means one thing for sure. We can rely and believe in everything He says. What He says is what He speaks out - and it will happen! Are you a believer and enjoy what He says, knowing that it will happen as spoken? Believe you me, what God says stays. Therefore, never doubt what He speaks or says. Just believe and never doubt! Enjoy the week ahead. Be blessed.

Strangest Commands

Greetings brothers, and sisters who follow my blog.

I trust your life is on the righteous path and pleasing to God. Today I'm speaking about things that are strange, even far fetched, but could happen. Imagine you arrive at the office or wherever, then you are told to do something which does not link to reality - it seems plain strange and awkward, and not befitting the time and place. What do you do? What do you say? I will definitely query the command from whomever it came from. I'll insist that it is way out of this world and cannot be done, or what will it be for or is it worth it.

Imagine you are told to build a shed next to your office. You ask "what for?" There is no purpose for this. Your manager or employer insists. maybe your wife asks you to build it near your office business premises. Again, "what for?" In the end you just do it, never minding the outcome. Then a few days/weeks later something happens and you suddenly realise it was all worth it; there was a purpose for it to be build. And here comes our loving God. He tells you to build something or to make something, but you are confused. Why? This has no meaning or purpose right here and now. You don't see anything coming from this. Instead of querying or questioning God, you just obey and do it.

Let's read 2 Kings 3:16. It goes like this - "Thus says the Lord, 'Make this valley full of trenches.'" And your reaction. What for Lord? This makes no sense. Still, because you are an obedient follower of our loving God, you obey and just do it. Then some time into the future you understand why He commanded you to do that specific task. A miracle! Then you see how God has been setting you up for a miracle or new chapter in your life. Now you see the bigger picture. Now you understand why He asked you to do just that.

Let's just obey His instructions, even when we don't understand it, and see what he is doing and planning for our lives. God knows exactly what He is doing. He is God! And we are not... Enjoy the journey and obey Him in every day things, especially when He "speaks" to you for something specific. Be blessed!

God Increases Power

Greetings Brothers in Christ,

Today's message touches me just as much as it will touch you. In the past weeks I have felt weak, weary and without strength. My business has kept me so busy that my life was being drained one day at a time. Even my time with God, praying and "speaking" to Him decreased, which is wrong. We reach such times, where we feel weak, faint and powerless. It is not easy when our daily life schedules "attack" us and tries to stop us in our tracks. At this point in time I came before God and asked for forgiveness for not spending enough time in His presence, and prayed and "spoke" with God in a new way. Now I feel refreshed again; renewed and strong. Why?

Let's look at the Bible, and especially in the book of Isaiah. Here is Isaiah 40:29, "He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power." This verse spoke deeply into my heart, mind and soul. It touched me because it was exactly what I needed to hear. God knows our daily circumstances, and He wants to step in and change this for us. So when you are at this point in your own life, turn to God, making extra time before Him and allow Him to offer you new strength and power. My life was so weary that writing my new books and my blog/Facebook pages fell behind as I just didn't feel like doing nothing. God changed all that for me now.

He wants to change things for you but you must acknowledge this and ask Him to help you in this journey of life. Without Him we are useless, weak and worth nothing. But He brings us to the place of renewal. Allow Him to come and intervene, to offer you new strength and new power. Only God can increase the power you need. There is no other way. Praises to our living and loving God for His mercies and His love and His grace. Without Him we will always be lost and weary. Amen.

May this day and the future be bright and shiny in your lives and hearts. may God be the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega in your life forever. Be blessed...

God Approved

Hi Brothers,

It has been some time I know, but running a business fulltime leaves me at times [seasonal though] with very little spare time but to spend it with my beautiful princess of 32 years in marriage. Sometimes that's all that matters; and don't forget the quality time before our Lord God. That's first before my princess. How many of us allow the world to salute us, to approve of what we say and do?

The world applauds so many people for their "good deeds" or "great achievements" but that's not going to lead us anywhere. As children of the great I Am, our loving God, we should first see what God approves before we allow the world to applaud us. The world does not offer us eternal life or heavenly promises that come from God the Father. No, it applauds as it sees as greatness. This greatness could still have sin attached to it.

Therefore, be pleased at all times when God approves of what you say or do. His choice is to me far beyond what the world sees in me. God leads me to eternity and the world actually belongs to the "father of lies" and his cronies; which includes his followers on earth - all the sinners. Be God approved starting today! Amen...

Prayer For Cape Town And Regions Around It

Hi Brothers,

I am asking for us all to stand in together for prayer for Cape Town city and surrounding regions. They are in the middle of a major water crisis and we need prayers that the rains will overflow the rivers and fill the dams that are close to empty. D-day for final and total dryness of dams is around June/July.

Please pray for this city and the regions around it as we know God can provide whatever is needed and beyond. I'll be posting more articles shortly as it has been a tough month with my business and personal side as well, and not much time to post anything in this blog for March. Praise God for His miracles never cease. Amen...

Make Early Mornings Count

Men are a kind on their own. Now you're thinking, "What's coming next?" I was like that as well, but not as much any more as time constraints don't allow me to do such things in the morning; only some mornings are possible. What am I talking about? Men love to sit having their breakfast with a spoon in one hand and the morning newspaper/local daily newspaper in the other hand.

We consume our mind with news, reviews, happenings and such, by reading the early newspaper before the day begins. many still do this. But what about your time with God? What counts for you as a Christian believer, a man of God? Is time with Him not more precious than the newspaper or article you read? Mark 1:35 says the following, "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Wow! Now that's what counts in the morning.

Now that is very true. Why doesn't God be the first One you spend time with, reading the Bible, praying, and taking in what He wants to say for your day? Make early mornings count by placing Him first before everything else, even your breakfast and newspaper, etc. Your day may just be more alive and filled with great things since His blessing is upon it. Try it and start tomorrow morning with Jesus. Make it count! Amen...

Are You Feeling Lonely?

Hi Brothers, and all those reading this blog, or followers,

Firstly, my apology for not having posted for some time now. Unfortunately my business and other personal commitments have kept me busy, but I'm back again. Enjoy this article...

This affects most people, whether male or female, but there are times when we feel lonely, without support, alone and lost. Men feel this more than women I may add. Why do I say this? Men don't like sitting around without someone to chat with, to enjoy idle chats with a cold one in the hand. Sitting with a spouse doesn't feel the same.

Men want to feel needed, to feel part of a group, or just to be with a "buddy" with whom they enjoy great companionship or a strong bonding friend relationship. The Bible offers us some great answers regarding feeling lonely. Here is a verse that spoke out to me today. It goes like this - "It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear." - Isaiah 65:24 What is this verse telling us?

God knows exactly how we feel. He doesn't want to see us alone, rather with Him at all times. When we feel lonely or lost, or both simultaneously, turn to God. He hears you before you speak. He even answers you while you are speaking. Is this not a wonderful promise from God? He is there for us at all times, even when we feel like there is no one or nothing around us; when we feel lost. Allow God into your life and never feel lonely or lost again. It may feel that way at times when we walk with Jesus in our hearts, minds, lives and bodies. But we are NOT! God is with us always. Amen.

Plan Of Salvation

Greetings Brothers, and all who visit this blog,

One always wonders how can we be saved, how do we go about it. Is it good works; doing everything right and clean? Is it just being nice folks around everyone else? Is it rather not sinning at all? No! The plan of salvation which God offered us was to repent from our sins, accept Jesus as Lord and to confess from our mouths. Here is a plan you can meditate upon, and read/study when you have your quiet time. Be blessed...

The Safest Distance

How close do you drive to someone ahead of you on the road? It does make a difference if you are driving on the highway, on good old suburbia roads, or on roads in the country side. Yes, we must stay at a safe distance which will then allow us enough time to react, hit brakes or swerve out of the way when something drastic happens. When too close we are in danger of becoming a statistic or even worse, dead.

We keep at the safest distance. But we do that with God as well. Why do I say this now? Let's first read the verse; "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Many times in our lives we remain a small distance from God. He is in our sights but not too close. Maybe He wants to lead us and guide us into what He sees as our calling, but we remain afar.

Then there are the times when we need help, but because we remain at a distance from God, we run to others for help. God is extending His hand to help us but we miss it because of the 'safe distance' we maintain. Again, we mess up. With God we should not have a distance to keep or remain safe. The distance between us and God should be at full contact, hand in hand, face to face. That's where God wants us. Nothing drastic will happen when we are 'bumper-on-bumper' with Him.

Seek His mercy and find that loving grace He wants us to receive and keep by remaining up close and personal with Him. Don't live at a safe distance! That will definitely lead to disaster. Be blessed ...

Prayers for Cape Town and South Africa

Greetings Brothers [and all Readers of this Blog],

Having now completed a wonderful 7-day fasting and prayer, I have been praying for various problems around the world. Therefore, I decided to start posting these places in need of prayers as we go along. Do bring them into your prayers whenever you are in your quiet room or prayer closet. Thanking you all sincerely... And here is the start...

1] Please pray for our city of Cape Town in the Western Cape province, as well as for the whole province and the Eastern Cape province for much needed RAIN as all the dams are running dry and the rivers in the regions as well. It is now getting to very critical stages. Amen.

2] Please pray for our country as a whole, especially for the government in place, for corruption and for peace as violent protests and upheavals have taken place in the past days; even in my own city where I live, with disruptions to many businesses, etc. God is always in control. Be blessed. Amen.

That's it for now, thank you and may God bless you dearly...

PS - my personal verse for 2018 as God's Spirit lay it upon my heart is 2 Peter 3:18. What joy!

More Prayer Samples

Hi Brothers,

I trust all is well and the year started with a bang; meaning it is going to be blessed and God is already working it out for you. Here are two more samples of prayers to pray for lost friends, colleagues, family, etc. Enjoy!

3] "Father God. Please send labourers from any sources across _____________ 's path. Let him/her see you wherever he/she goes, so much so that he/she cannot escape you! In Jesus' name this I pray. Amen."

4] "Father, please put a hedge of protection around ___________ so that any ungodly influences around him/her would lose interest and depart. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen."

That's it for today. May you be blessed until the next post. Add any name in the blank spaces when you use any of these prayers. I'm taking a 7 day break this coming week as I'm fasting and waiting upon the Lord to lead me into 2018 even more as He wills. Please keep me in your prayers, and my wife Ansa as well. Thank you. Be blessed!

2018 Is Here - Seek Jesus

Hi to all my fellow Christian brothers [and sisters who follow this blog].

I'm back from an enjoyable and blessed holiday and ready for a great year ahead. It's time we start growing our links in our relationship with Jesus Christ even stronger. My word for this year is Success. We need to be successful in life, in our work and businesses, and especially in our relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. God wants much more for us and the only way to do this is to get closer to Him. This is the year for sure.

I'll be writing more articles around this subject and also in how we need to spread the Gospel and draw the unsaved to Christ. So with no more words to waste, I'm starting right here... Small prayers that you can pray for unsaved friends, family members, colleagues and relatives...

1] "Lord, please remove the blinders from ___________ 's eyes and open his/her eyes to see You.
I pray that as __________ 's eyes are opened that You would bring about situations and
circumstances that would lead them to the truth. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

2] "Father God. I ask You to turn and soften _________ 's heart. Put a new spirit in him/her. Take
out ____________ 's stony, stubborn heart and give him/her a tender, responsive heart. Lord,
please draw _________ to You and give him/her a hunger and desire for You. In Jesus' name this I
     pray. Amen."

Here are the first two prayer samples you can use for the purpose of praying for the unsaved. I trust this will help you and be a guide for this year ahead. I'll post more such helpful prayers in due course again. Be blessed!
